Politics Project

Well it always starts out really exciting and I have motivation and passion towards every new project that I start. So I had done a little research of topics that are going on to put forward in the group activity. I put out the idea about Priests and the misconduct under the Catholic church, others gave ideas but I felt strongly about this topic as I had recently watched the film called 'Spotlight' and it was based on this idea. It horrified me how people you trust would violate their right and there trust with there relationship between the people who visit the church and use it for there own pleasure. The age mortifies me the most, the youngest age was a 3 years old and that was disgusting just to think of.

I had my research, mind maps and mood boards but I was very confused on how to progress further as I didn't want to use a shape straight away, so I struggled for a while until I had a tutorial helping me move on forward. So I created some collages playing with the shapes and images that I gathered from magazines which established into my own clothing for woman but felt very manly as its normally worn by men.

Stand work with three different shapes that I gathered from the collages and with the shapes I gathered from the stands I created some experimental collages on Photoshop that allowed me to to come up with designs quickly. I prefer this technique as its quick and creates designs in a different medium. From the stand work I sketched rough designs that followed through as developing further on and within the process I created some photoshop collages as it is become one of my favourite techniques to use in projects. It wastes less time which allows me to become more time efficient when sketching designs.

I selected garments and shapes that I really liked and worked as part of the collection and manipulated them to style these long robes that priests wear. I then came up with the idea that the colour and how they would work on catwalk is that tells a story as the clothing becomes infected with black until its eventually black tone, to represent the priests and what they do to children and that they leave them behind with.
