Accessoriesss

Understanding and researching of what accessories are out there and what have been created for catwalk shows at the moment. I my themes, I am following through the idea of travel and memories so I brought in my Passport as an object to allow me to begin evolving and developing into a product.  So from the passport I created some drawings from symbols and small details from it. Enlarged, interacted with the passport, manipulating it variously to create collages, further drawings and sketches. Cutting out symbols, stamps, marks that have been engraved on the pages of the passport. What I got from the cutouts of photocopies, I photocopied them to positive/ negative - so getting an inverse of the shape and not the detail, which gave me the idea to create a sample.

Creating collages for developing designs by manipulating the sample wire through the photocopier and and creating a multiple repetitive print of it. Allowed me to create like a squiggle effect and layering them to seem like stiff chains dangling but flowing like a wave. It also looked very fun and funky like a Keith Haring piece of work, from the shapes and prints he portrays of figures. I enjoyed the process as I got to have a better understanding of the printer/photocopier and learn other techniques to blow me to evolve my ideas. Began to create the product after I knew what I wanted to do but it was going to plan as I was wanting to mix wire and wood together but couldn't find a strong enough glue to hold them together, as with hot glue- it would stay and then fall of after and it kept causing a lot of problems with me. So I have now decided to drill; and created holes for the wire to go through as it is much easier to control and does not require as much help.
